Applying For a Residential Building Permit
(for sheds, decks, room additions, remodeling, garages, carports, etc.)

Step 1

Come to the Community Development office with the above information and with a copy of your survey.  Your applications, plans when applicable, & survey will be reviewed by a member of our staff

Step 2

You pay for your permit at the time it is issued. This process usually takes only a few minutes. After the permit is issued, you may begin working.

Step 3

During your construction, you will be required to have inspections of the work. Call the Community Development office at 436-2200 to schedule the inspections. We try to respond to your request within 2 hours; requests received after 3:00 pm will be performed the next business day. When the construction is entirely complete, you will have a Final Inspection.
