Did you know our market is open year-round?
The Gladstone Farmers Market will add Saurday market hours this year to its winter market schedule, expanding opportunities for the market's independent vendors to offer their locally-grown and produced items for sale to consumers in the KC Metro area. Market organizers decided to add a Saturday mraket to the winter schedule this year following a successful winter farmers market season last year. "We have some dedicated customers who find it difficult to make our Wednesday afternoon markets." says Market President Joe Langeneckert. Vendors will offer a wide assortment of cool weather fresh produce, such as spinach, lettuce, herbs and other greens, as well as hydroponically-grown vegetables, eggs, home-raised Black Angus beef and pork. The market continues to carry jams, jellies and other canned goods, breads, cookies and select hand-made craft items.
SNAP/EBT payments can be accepted by market vendors, and the Double-up matching token program will continue through the winter market, contingent on program funding.
