Applying For Trade Permits (for electrical, mechanical, plumbing and lawn irrigation)Step 1
Submit your applications, to the Community Development office. You will need to know a description and the value of the work to be performed. Some situations require a Master Plumber and/or Master Electrician to pull the permits. For more information, contact the Community Development Department at 436-2200 or click here.
Staff is typically available to review, approve and issue your permit on the spot. The process usually takes a few minutes. Your permit fee is due at this time.
During your construction, you will be required to have inspections of the work. Call the Community Development office at 436-2200 to schedule the inspections. We try to respond to your request within 2 hours; requests received after 3:00 pm will be performed the next business day. When the construction is entirely complete, you will have a Final Inspection.
