Storm Water Management

Public Involvement and Participation

Public involvement and outreach is another key component of the Storm Water Management Program. The City encourages participation in the program through a variety of different measures. Some examples include use of the Regional Brush/Yard Waste Disposal Facility and/or participation in the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Program. The City is also looking for volunteers to help mark our storm inlets as shown in the picture. Two youth groups have already marked over 200 storm drain inlets throughout the City. The City will furnish all of the materials to mark the inlets. If you are interested in participating in the program, please contact the Public Works Department at (816) 436-5442 or by e-mail at stormwater@gladstone.mo.us.
