  50+ Programs
Join the Gladstone 50+ program for a day trip, overnight or extended trip, cards, bingo, the Gladstone Senior Meeting, volunteer opportunities, special events or a class!

Weekly events at the Gladstone Community Center include Bridge, and Hand & Foot. The Gladstone Senior Group meets once each month and welcome anyone interested to participate. They start with a short business meeting followed by entertainment and a pot luck luncheon. There is also a Bingo group that meets at a different restaurant each week. There are volunteer opportunities with the Cancer Action Workshop, This group have been making bed pads for cancer patients for more than 40 years. They meet at the Community Center on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month.

    Do you have to live in Gladstone to go on trips or participate in activities?

    •No

    Do you have to be over 50 to participate?

    •The trips and activities are reserved for ages 50+ first. We do make exceptions if the trip is not full by the deadline date, and on overnight and extended tours.

    How do I register for a trip?

    • On-line - Go to www.gladstonemo.activityreg.com.
    • By Phone - (816) 423-4086 or 423-4200 with Visa, MasterCard or Discover.
    • In person - at the Gladstone Community Center, 6901 N. Holmes.
    • By Mail - Make checks payable to City of Gladstone and mail to 6901 N Holmes, Gladstone, MO 64118.

    Will I get a refund if I cancel a trip?

    •For day trips, if you cancel before the deadline date you will get a full refund. After the deadline date you will receive a refund if we can replace you. If a refund check is required, a $5 processing fee will be deducted. On the overnight and extended tours, if you cancel by the deposit deadline date you will receive a full refund. After the deposit deadline there will be cancellation penalties. You can find cancellation details on each individual trip brochure.

    Where do the trips depart from?

    •We depart from the parking lot on North Campbell between 69th & 70th streets.

    Is the bus handicap accessible?

    •No. You must be able to get on and off of the bus on your own. You are welcome to bring canes and non-motorized walkers.

    What is the Gladstone Seniors Meeting?

    •This is a social group that meets on the 4th Monday of each month at the Gladstone Community Center. They have a short business meeting followed by entertainment and a pot luck lunch. They ask for a donation of $3.00 for supplies. You do not need to let them know that you are coming, just come that day. This is a great way to meet people!

    What kind of card games are played at the Gladstone Community Center?

    •Duplicate Bridge is played on Mondays from 8:30-12:30 p.m. You must let them know you are coming and you must have a partner. Contact Ron Guglielmino at railman1789@gmail.com.
    •Party Bridge is played on Tuesday afternoons from 12:00-3:30 p.m. You do not need to let anyone know you are coming.
    •Hand and Foot is played on Monday afternoons from 12:30-4:30 p.m. You do not need to let anyone know you are coming.
