City of Gladstone
Police Records Unit - Tow Releases

If your vehicle has been impounded, you will need to bring the following with you to the Gladstone Police Department:

* Valid Driver’s License or state ID of the owner who is listed on the title, and
* The vehicles title or a current registration form.

If your vehicle title or registration is in your vehicle, you may go to GladRents, located at 6800 N Oak, Gladstone, MO. They will escort you to your vehicle to get those forms, and only those forms, from your vehicle. All property, other than the title or registration, will be left in the vehicle until a Tow Release has been authorized and all fees associated with the tow have been paid.

If you are picking up a vehicle for another person, you must have the above-mentioned forms and a notarized letter from the owner of the vehicle, authorizing you to pick the vehicle up. The letter must include the vehicle Make, Model, Year, and VIN #, and must name the person to whom the vehicle is to be released, who must be present.

All vehicles towed by the Gladstone Police Department are held at GladRents, located at 6800 N Oak, Gladstone, MO. If your vehicle was towed due to an accident, or was towed from private property by a property owner, it may be held at another location and is not being held with the authorization of the Gladstone Police Department
