SEASONAL PARK MAINTENANCE (4) - $12.50 / hr.
Performs seasonal maintenance duties as directed, which includes mowing, trimming, trash pickup, ball field maintenance, and minor construction. Positions begin according to assigned duties. Ball field preparation begins approximately May.
COACH PITCH UMPIRES & SCORER’S Umpires $12.75 – $18.75 / game; Scorekeepers $11.15 / game.
Numerous umpires and scorekeepers are needed in May, June & July for the GPRCA’s youth leagues held each evening (Sunday – Friday). Everyone must attend the department’s softball/baseball clinic and become a registered official with the Parks and Recreation Department. Umpires must have knowledge of general rules and mechanics, past umpiring experience preferred with the position beginning approximately May 1. Scorekeeper no experience is required but softball/baseball background is helpful with the position beginning approximately at the end of April.
YOUTH VOLLEYBALL OFFICIALS $12.75 – $18.75 / game.
Numerous officials are needed throughout the spring and fall programs (Saturday mornings & afternoons). Must be knowledgeable in the game of volleyball. Past officiating experience preferred. Positions begin approximately Mid- April (Spring) & September (Fall).
YOUTH SOCCER OFFICIALS $12.75 - $18.75 / game.
Numerous officials are needed throughout the spring and fall programs (weekday evenings & Saturday mornings). Must be knowledgeable of general rules and mechanics in the game of football or soccer and must attend GPRCA Clinic. Past officiating experience preferred. Positions begin approximately Mid-April (spring) & September (fall).
CONCESSIONARIES/CASHIERS (15 / 5) - $11.15 - $11.85 / hr.
Seeking concessionaries for Gladstone Municipal Pool, Community Center and Linden Square. Responsible for operations of concessions. Ability to greet patrons in a friendly, professional manner, maintain a clean working environment, prepare food and order supplies as needed. Ability to handle money, conduct inventory, maintain accurate financial records and daily deposit receipts. Must be available to work weekdays, weeknights and/or weekends.
START SMART INSTRUCTORS - $11.15 - $14.75 / hr.
Seeking individuals to instruct Start Smart programs, which include soccer, golf, baseball, flag football and basketball. Start Smart is a nationally known program specifically designed for 3-7 year old children. This is a parent participating program that allows youngsters to learn game skills in a safe non-threatening environment. Must be able to communicate with the public and work evenings Monday – Thursday. No experience required but an interest in working with children is a must.
LINDEN SQUARE ATTENDENT - $11.35 - $12.75 / hr.
Supervise and assist patrons attending concerts & activities/programs held at Linden Square with the ability to setup and teardown for those events. Keep facility areas clean and orderly, completion of daily records. Must have the ability to greet patrons in friendly, professional manner and work weekend evenings.
