CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS
The City Council generally meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.
• 21 years of age prior to taking office
• Citizen of the United States
• Resident of Gladstone for one (1) year
• Registered Voter
First Day for Candidate filing: Tuesday, December 5, 2023
Last Day for Candidate filing: Tuesday, December 26, 2023
Declarations of candidacy must be made in the Office of the City Clerk, Gladstone City Hall, 7010 North Holmes, during regular business hours: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. City Hall will be closed on December 25, 2023 in observance of the Christmas holiday. Persons who, after filing their names as candidates, wish to withdraw as such candidate, must file their notice of withdrawal with the City Clerk no later than 5:00 pm on January 16, 2024.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION - DECLARING DETERMINATION OF BALLOT ORDER
All candidates for City Council, prior to 5:00 pm on the first day of filing, will be eligible to participate in a random drawing to determine ballot order. At the time of filing, the candidate will draw a random number and the ballot order will be in ascending order. Candidates who file after 5:00 pm on the first date of filing shall be listed in the order filed and after the candidates participating in the random drawing.
