Mayor Tina Spallo
Tina took an active role in 2016 as Co-Chair of Gladstone Shaping our Future, a citizens-based project to establish a long-range strategic plan for the City. As a result of the efforts of Gladstone Shaping our Future the renovation of Fire Station #2, purchase of a new Fire Truck and Ambulance and the construction of a new Police station became a reality. In 2019, Tina was chair of the City’s ½ cent general sales tax initiative, which made possible step raises for City staff and funded the Public Safety construction projects and equipment purchases. Tina has been a resident of Gladstone since 1999 and was a Gladstone Parks and Recreation employee for 19 years. Tina is currently a full-time associate of Jackson County Parks + Rec and serves as the Superintendent of Recreation. Tina enjoys volunteering in her community and does so primarily as the Chairman of the Northland Christmas Store. Tina was elected to her first term on the City Council in 2020.
